In a unifying decision, the trustees have conferred the role of HCC’s ninth chancellor upon Margaret Ford Fisher, Ed.D., who has demonstrated steadfast leadership as Interim Chancellor since September 1, 2023. This choice reflects a strategic vision for HCC's future.

The election process, initiated on November 7, 2023, with the filing of an Application for a Place on the Ballot, culminates in a board with nine members, each representing a single-member district. The trustees, who volunteer their service without remuneration, are vested with the ultimate responsibility to shape and interpret the policies of HCC.
