Kroger Helping HISD Foundation Raise Money for Student Programs

For the next seven weeks, shoppers at Houston Kroger stores can make a donation that will go toward improving the academic advancement of Houston’s public school children. From now through September 11, all Houston Kroger locations will be collecting donations on behalf of the HISD Foundation. Shoppers can find the specially marked, donation canisters in the check-out area.
“Kroger is committed to supporting programs and initiatives that advance the education of Houston’s youth,” said Bill Breetz, President of the Kroger Southwest Division.

The question should be,” Why was paddling taken out of the school system when it worked in the past? Come on, lets be real, during my days at J. J. Rhoads Elementary School, Attucks Middle School, and E. E. Worthing High School, my butt was initiated by the paddle method a time or two. Getting paddled did one thing for me, it made me make the decision that unless I liked the process of paddling, do the things necessary to avoid the process.
