Christianity as I understand it is the acceptance of Jesus Christ as the son of God, and an embrace of the principle that the belief in Christ serves as the pathway to God. The sacrifice of his son for the atonement of our sins is recognized by Christians all over the world as the most significant of the gifts that God granted mankind. The constitution of the United States grants its citizens certain unalienable rights, with the most sacred of these being the freedom of religion. This fundamental right to practice religion is one that Americans believe people of all religious backgrounds all over the world should enjoy.
