In 1995, there was something new in the air of Houston. That something was recent National Football League (NFL) draft pick Steve “Air McNair.” He signed a seven year contract with the then Houston Oilers. Starting out as a backup quarterback, McNair did not see much action during his first year in Houston but in a December 1996 game, he along with the rest of the Oilers were all over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
