From 2001-2006, Bernie Mac, the late American comedian, was the “star” of a television show appropriately titled “The Bernie Mac Show.” This was a very funny sitcom that was based on his life with his wife after they instantly became the parents of his drug-addicted sister’s three children. Some of the show’s most memorable scenes were those with Bernie Mac speaking directly to the television audience. He always began this monologue with “America, …” and continued by detailing his inner thoughts about what he was dealing with in his unique (for him) parental situation at hand that made him scratch his head in a logical manner.
When “The Wendy Williams Show” returns for a sizzling second season on Monday, September 6 (nationally syndicated, check your local listings), viewers will be treated to another round of laughter and fun, provided by a talk show host who has brought new life to daytime.
“I have been truly inspired by all of the amazing guests and fans that I have had the chance to meet over the last year,” Williams said. “I look forward to what I’m sure will be a fun-filled season. My focus is to provide an entertaining hour of television everyday with new celebrity news and compelling conversation with those celebrities. You will also see a lot more regular people with amazing stories and talents. I can’t wait to get started—we spent the summer coming up with great new ideas that I want to share!.”
Lab tests on suspected illegal drugs taken from rapper T.I.’s car Wednesday night should be completed by Friday, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokeswoman.
Police arrested T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, and his wife, “Tiny” Tameka Cottle, during a traffic stop on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood on Wednesday night.
Harris, 29, and Cottle, 35, allegedly possessed a controlled substance, the spokeswoman said.
Lindsay Lohan is speaking out in her first interview after serving time in jail. Vanity Fair posted clips from their upcoming issue with Lindsay Lohan on the cover and my jaw dropped at some of the horrors Lindsay Lohan speaks. She speaks on being led down a path of destruction which we saw unfold daily on blogs, tabloids and this very site on an almost daily basis. Now for the first time Lindsay Lohan is speaking out on how her life ended up the way it did.

Nicki Minaj has a lot to be excited about these days. Not only is the Young Money MC gearing up for the release of her debut album in November, she’s also featured on a new track with Jay-Z and Kanye West and celebrated a Twitter marriage (and divorce) with Drake.
But while the animated rapper remains busy, she is also anticipating Lil Wayne’s release from prison. In a recent radio interview, Minaj spoke about her mentor and why she feels the need to make Pink Friday a success.
Certainly in this country, Bob Marley’s dreadlocked shadow is cast over all other reggae. His legend is so vast that there are two separate bands featuring former members of his groups: The Wailers, who have the formidable Aston “Family Man” Barrett, one of the greatest bassists of all time, and the Original Wailers (playing Friday night at Scout Bar), who have a pair of great Marley guitarists in Al Anderson and Junior Murvin.
Cincinnati Bengals wide-receiving duo Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens refer to themselves as the Batman and Robin of the NFL, but in the hip-hop world, Jay-Z and Eminem are more like the Batman and Superman of music. And just like it’s rare to see the two titans of comics together in the same panel, you know it’s a special occasion when Slim Shady and Jigga team up for a live show.
Donning a traditional U.S. Navy getup with gloves and work boots, the singer was spotted in Hawaii on the set of the Peter Berg-directed science-fiction movie, wearing a nametag with the name “Raikes.” The board-game adaptation is the story of naval officers who use Earth’s ships to fight against alien intruders.
Driven by her hit single ‘Bittersweet’, Fantasia’s Back To Me album has sold over 117,000 copies since its release. The album is at #1 on the Billboard’s R&B Albums chart and #2 on Billboard’s Hot 200.

In recent weeks, a series of CNN articles have appeared purporting to get to the bottom of male infidelity. “Men More Likely to Cheat on Women With Bigger Paychecks,” one headline informs us; yet in the body of the article we are told that the opposite is true as well: “A man who makes significantly more money than his girlfriend or wife is also more likely to cheat.”
Police arrested rapper T.I. and his wife in California after they were allegedly found in possession of a controlled substance. The couple was arrested late Wednesday during a traffic stop in Los Angeles, according to a police report. During the stop, police said, they smelled an odor of marijuana coming from their car.
Times are tough.
You’ve tightened your belt so much that you don’t have any notches left. You’ve cancelled everything cancelable, given up all but the necessities, stopped going out and started going desperate. You don’t know what to do next to save your un(der)employed self. It’s decision time.
How up-the-creek are you? Would you pick up a gun to pay the bills? In the new book “Tempted by Trouble” by Eric Jerome Dickey, a man learns that firepower is not foolproof.
I guess I wouldn’t have much against this group, with a lynch mob mentality except that they are insensitive, dishonest and their motives smack of duplicity. They showed their insensitivity by planning a rally in DC on the anniversary of the very day that Dr. King delivered his speech on inclusiveness, tolerance and a better world 47 years ago. The Tea partiers’ rally was based on “taking America back!” What does that mean? It seems they want the “Good Ol’ Boys” back – large and in charge!

Houston’s official July 4th festival, which features the nation’s largest land-based fireworks show, boasted a great turnout, despite the monsoon that doused Southeast Texas during the first few days of July.
About every six months or so, I hear rumors about H&M coming to Houston. The European discount fashion retailer is hugely popular on the East Coast and has stores in 37 countries worldwide, but there are none in Texas. So buzz about a store opening here spreads like, well, wildfire.
Willow Smith is officially a fashion icon. She is the future of our world and it’s about time we start paying closer attention. So why is In Touch weekly saying Willow Smith swagger jacked Adam Lambert? The popular magazine wrote “Willow’s copying Adam’s Style!, is Adam Lambert Willow Smith’s inspiration? Sure looks like it.”
