As African-American male students at Nashville’s Vanderbilt University, the eventual founders of dN|Be Apparel were dismayed at the lack of positive options in the streetwear market. Frustrated by T-shirts adorned with snowmen and marijuana leaf images that glorified drug use and dealing in the young black community, these four did something about it.
