Wyclef Jean for President? No, he is not trying to replace President Barack Obama but he is seriously considering a run for President of Haiti. Wyclef began giving the idea thought after current President Rene Preval appointed him ambassador-at-large for the Caribbean nation in 2007. Although it is very evident that Wyclef loves his native homeland, he has not yet officially decided to run for presidency. He has until the first week in August to make his decision.

DMX
A man who now has all his decisions made for him is DMX since he returned back to jail. After violating the terms of his 2002 probation for reckless driving DMX made the door at the jail house a revolving door. He was just released earlier this July after serving four months in Arizona for a probation violation. For his latest confinement he will spend three months behind bars. He surrendered to authorities on July 26, 2010.

Trae Tha Truth
Surrendering to each other is Trae Tha Truth and KBXX 97.9 The Box. An on- air argument in July 2009 between Nnete Inyangumia, KBXX 97.9 radio personality and Trae Tha Truth turned ugly and resulted in an all ban of Trae’s music from KBXX. This action, of course, hurt Trae’s reputation and so he filed suit. Now both parties have reached an agreement to just walk away.

Lauryn Hill
Considering a walk back into the spotlight is Lauryn Hill. It has been twelve years since her Grammy award winning solo album debuted. She became secluded from the music scene due to her disappointment in the music industry. Word has it that Ms. Hill is getting excited again and may decide to come back to the industry. Lauryn Hill fans keep your fingers crossed.

Rihanna
Maintaining her place in the spotlight is Rihanna. Recently, she shot the video for her single with Eminem “Love the Way You Lie.” Wanting to bring more focus on domestic violence, Rihanna was thrilled to participate in the project that features Eminem talking about an abusive relationship. From the battle of love to the battle at the box office, Rihanna has her first major role in the upcoming film “Battleship” based on the Hasbro board game. Go figure!

Lorenzen Wright
Not in the game of basketball is former NBA forward Lorenzen Wright. He had been missing since July 18
th and his family was growing more suspicious by the day. Last seen at a Memphis barbershop, no activity had been detected on his phone or at his bank, and his vehicles were still at his house. His lifeless body was found on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, 15 miles outside of Memphis, TN. Initial findings indicated that Wright might have died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Reportedly he was having financial troubles.

Brian McKnight
Singer Brian McKnight is breathing easier after a woman tried to increase the size of his family. Last year Miriam Lee filed a paternity and child support suit against the R&B singer claiming he was the father of her 14-year old son. Because McKnight did not dispute her claims, the judge ruled that he was the father and ordered him to pay $341,640 for back child support. All of this was done before DNA test results were revealed.
