Borris Miles Leading In Race To Replace Al Edwards

Former State Representative and business executive Borris Miles is leading in the race to replace State Representative Al Edwards. An internal poll conducted by the Borris Miles campaign of 300 likely voters during the period January 20-22 shows Miles with a significant lead over incumbent Al Edwards. The poll has a 3.5 +/- margin of error.
Voters were asked if the election were held today, who would be their choice for state representative in District 146. Miles received 41%; Edwards got 36% and 23% were undecided.
In addition, when voters were asked about the favorability of each candidate: Miles received 49% favorable; 38% unfavorable and 13% undecided or had no opinion. Edwards’ favorability was 45%; 25% unfavorable and 30% undecided or had no opinion.
About the poll, Miles says his efforts to reshape his image among voters in District 146 is taking roots and that voters have come to realize his opponent; Al Edwards is out of touch with reality and would be better off taking his retirement and going home. Borris Miles further states that his opponent has never done anything positive for the district and why should it be expected that he do so now.
