Houston Homeless Run – January 10, 2010
On Sunday January 10, 2010 My Fellow Man Alliance will host the 2nd annual Houston Homeless RunSM
The event is scheduled for 7am to 1pm and will begin in downtown Houston and travel along Memorial Drive.
Last year’s Houston Homeless RunSM was a great success, bringing out more than 300 runners and over 50 dedicated volunteers.
All of the proceeds from the Houston Homeless RunSM will benefit My Fellow Man Alliance and will be used to continue in the fight to prevent and end homelessness.
The day’s events will include a 10K competitive race, 5K run/walk and a “Little K” for kids and families.
The main festivities will take place in Hermann Square Park; steps from the Mayor’s office.
Entertainment will be provided by The Salvation Army’s Harbor Light Choir.
Warm up will provided by LA FITNESS and Thai Chi by Henderson J. Smith of www.Livingwelltherapies.net.
The Houston Homeless RunSM is fully sanctioned and certified by USA Track & Field – TX04001ETM and will be timed using the RUN WILD sports timing system.

My Fellow Man Alliance is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to providing safe housing, support and vocational rehabilitation services for the homeless and those that would otherwise become homeless without intervention.
