H-E-B Employees Battle to Provide Superior Service in Annual Company-Wide S.T.A.R.S.S. Competition
Five teams of H-E-B Partners (employees) from across the state will gather at the Pearland H-E-B Plus! to compete in the final showdown of the annual company-wide service competition S.T.A.R.S.S., which stands for Striving To Always Role Model Superior Service. Each top-notch team comprised of two Partners – a bagger and a checker – will race against the clock to provide swift, friendly and accurate customer service for shoppers. Demonstrating H-E-B’s commitment to the environment, each team will model their personally designed “Go Green” T-shirts made of recyclable materials.
A panel of judges, which includes two H-E-B customers with more than 50 years of H-E-B shopping experience, will determine the winning team based upon the team’s ability to smile, greet, make sincere conversation, and thank their customers all while being efficient.
