Weingarten Realty Announces Mutual of Omaha Bank to Join River Oaks Shopping Center
Weingarten Realty (NYSE:WRI) announced today that Mutual of Omaha Bank leased 6,198 square feet of space in River Oaks Shopping Center, a high end, specialty shopping center located within Houston’s Loop 610. This location is scheduled to open in Fall 2009 and will be their first venture in Houston.
Strategically located at the intersection of West Gray and South Shepherd Drive, the center is positioned among the most affluent neighborhoods and major office centers including the Central Business District, Galleria and Greenway Plaza. Anchored by Kroger and Barnes & Noble, which will be opening in the fall of 2009. River Oaks is also home to popular tenants including Sur La Table, Chico’s, Ann Taylor, La Madeleine, Luke’s Locker and La Griglia, among others.
Brooke J. Harvey handled lease negotiations on behalf of Weingarten Realty, and Kristen Barker of Wulfe & Company in Houston, Texas was the broker representing the tenant.
